Hotel Benedict

The Hotel Benedict is located in the heart of the picturesque old town of Kőszeg, right next to the Church of St. James, just a few steps from the symbol of the town, the Jurisics Castle. The building was built by the Jesuit order during the Turkish occupation. It has been destroyed by fire twice in the course of time, but has always been rebuilt and extended. After the Jesuit order, it became the property of the Benedictine Order of Pannonhalma, and was converted into a hotel in 2020.

The hotel is a meeting place of past and present, as the historic building offers modern, clean rooms and public spaces. The unique atmosphere of the rooms is created by the vaulted ceilings, and our layout provides an outstanding relaxing experience for young and old alike. A special feature of the communal areas is that the lounge window overlooks St James' Church. The hotel is also suitable for smaller events, with a capacity of 20-30 people.

Our hotel offers an outstanding gastronomic experience, with a buffet breakfast, featuring a wide selection of Hungarian and international dishes.
