Gastronomy - Hunguest Grandhotel Galya, Galyatető
In our hotel two restaurants, „Lobby”-bar and Wellness drink barare available for the guests.
The Panoráma Restaurant offers the Hungarian and Mátra cuisine for our guests. From the restaurant there is beautiful view to the nature, the hotel’s „ancient”-park and the Mátra Mountains. In summer people can have a delightful view to the land from the terrace of the restaurant, while chefs make meals for the request of the guests int he „panorama”-kitchen.
We made the menu to the Hunarian and Mediterranean mood of the Mátra Latino restaurant. The meals are made by Tibor Kovács and Sándor Szücs master chefs who have international competition experiences too. The Lobby-bar provides the excellent Hungarian and foreign wines to the fine dishes, where different kinds of home and international drinks are available for the visitors.
The restaurants are non-smoking, but the Lobby-bar and the cigar-room receive the smoking guests with pleasure.
The wellness drink bar wait for the guests, who became thirsty int he swimming and sauna. In this field the health-preserving was our target, therefore we serve non-alcoholic and bio drinks’ wide choice.
The Hunguest Hotels C.C.S. the training of their chefs very much and the competitiveness as well. It is also in connection with the successful taking part int he world competitions.
Tibor Kovács chef from 1996 to 2004 took part in several international competitions, won several medals, justified the reputation of Hunguest. In 2000 and 2004 he returned home with 2 silver and 1 bronze int he Chef Olympics of Erfurt. In 2001 in Kecskemét at Gastro-Art Cup he got a Hungarian championsskip’s first prize.
Sándor Szücs chef got first prize in Luxembourg, in 2006, he got bronze at World Cup.
