The Glockner Lamb Festival in Heiligenblut, held for the 18^th time, awaits visitors with an exquisite culinary experience. From 12 to 14 September, the chefs of the "Mölltal Taste Region" serve Glocknerbar, the region's most important gastronomic specialty.

Did you know that lamb is extremely healthy? Lamb is low in fat but high in protein and carbohydrates. Sheep have been kept in the Upper Mölltal countryside for centuries, as this animal was able to adapt very well to steep mountain pastures and hillsides. The Glocknerlamm Working Community has set itself the task of offering consumers the widest selection of lamb, such as the highest quality fresh meat, livers, smoked meat and cheese sausages.

The Glockner Lamb will be on display at the Heiligenblut festival in Heiligenblut, at the foot of Grossglockner, on the 2nd week of September: the region's farmers will prepare different mutton dishes for you.
